The Ten Thousand Pound Wedding Gown and Other True Stories

Jessy Randall will be reading with Aaron Anstett this Sunday. She has an honest, accurate and exacting eye. True, her poems can be a little absurd, but so can life. I love her description of a bridal gown -- made of "silk concrete blocks" and issued with an "optional/army tank"?

If you miss the reading at 4 p.m., I guess that's your loss. You can minimize the damage by taking a peak at her first full-length collection, A Day in Boyland. It's available from Ghost Road Press.
