I am pleased to announce that Miss Prothero's Books will hold an alternative Harry Potter party on July 21. The party is being co-sponsored by our good business neighbor, The Laughing Bean Cafe (901 W. 10th). We're calling it Harry Perez and the Deathly Jello. It will be a speed reading of books 1 through 6. Josh Fellers of J Cubed Holistics will play Ron "the Weasel" Weissman. Nan Wigington (that's me) will either be playing the part of Hermione High and Mighty or the part of Everyone Else. (We haven't decided yet.) Laughing Bean owner Tim Marquez will be playing the part of Harry Perez. Tim is a stand-up comedian and knows how to ham it up.
The reading starts at 10 a.m. on the 21st at The Laughing Bean. There will be coffee specials for adults. The best behaved adult may even win a coffee cup from Miss P! If you need more information, give us a call at 303-572-2260.
